REP. ATKINS ANNOUNCES FIRE SAFETY GRANT FOR CONCORD

Representative Cory Atkins (D-Concord) is pleased to announce that the state Department of Fire Services has awarded a $5415 grant to the Town of Concord for the Student Awareness of Fire Education (S.A.F.E.) Program.

"Every day I am grateful to the Concord Fire Department for keeping our town safe, and I commend their commitment to fire education programs," said Representative Atkins.

S.A F.E. is an education program that raises student awareness of fire dangers.  This program combined with other fire education and prevention initiatives led to an all time low record of fire deaths in 2009.
