On Saturday May 5th, Minute Man Arc will hold its annual fundraiser, the Minute Man MARCH. This fun-filled community event helps raise much needed funds to support more than 1,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in Concord and surrounding towns.
The MARCH will be held at the agency center at 130 C Baker Avenue Extension, Concord from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Participants can walk one, two or three miles through West Concord and then return to Baker Ave. for a colorful celebration with games, prizes, food, music and entertainment for the whole family.
Minute Man Arc’s programs include Early Intervention for infants and toddlers; Family Service Recreation for children and adults; Employment, Residential and Day Habilitation Services for adults. State budget cutbacks in 2012 will continue to severely impact agency programs. Now, more than ever, support of the MARCH is needed to help ensure that quality services remain in place for our children, adults and families.
This year’s MARCH is dedicated to the late Executive Director, Marty Martini, who passed away in January. His leadership and steadfast commitment to Minute Man Arc touched and enriched many lives.
Please join 400 families, friends and sponsors on Saturday, May 5th who come together each year, sustaining the critical work of Minute Man Arc. To sponsor a walker, visit www.minutemanarc.org.
