Kim and David Blair of Waterford, Conn. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Turner, to Patrick Ball, son of Leanne and Patrick Ball of Clinton, Mass.

Megan, a 2003 graduate of Waterford High School in Connecticut, earned a bachelor's degree in English from Framingham State University in 2007 and a master's degree in interactive communications from Quinnipiac University in 2010. She is currently employed as an acquisitions editor at Jones and Bartlett Learning.

Patrick, a 2002 graduate of Clinton High School, earned a bachelor's degree in English from Framingham State University in 2007. He is a senior local editor for Patch Media.

An October 2013 wedding is planned in Mystic, Conn.
