5 Things to do This Weekend in and around Concord

Below is a rundown of some things to do this weekend in and around Concord.

 

 

We're heading into the weekend with Memorial Day on Monday. Here are a few ideas on great activities and events happening this weekend around Town:

1. Clothing Drive

Where/When: Attias Group Real Estate, 48 Thoreau Street, Friday, May 25 and Monday, May 28 starting at 8 a.m. and going throughout the day.

Why Go?: A chance to clean out your closet and donate those old clothes to someone in need.

Price: Donations accepted.

 2. Belkin Farms Tour

Where/When: 89 Pleasant Street, Natick. Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m.

Why Go?: A good smattering of family fun based around the old-style farm. Plenty of fun, food and games for the kids.

Price: $8

3. Meet Bessie the Dinosaur

Where/When: Children's Discovery Muesum, 177 Main Street, Acton. Sunday, May 27 at 10 and 11 a.m.

Why Go?: Another family-friendly event and a chance for the little guys and gals to meet Bessie and discover some basics about science.

Price: $11

4. Trinity Forum: Out of my Comfort Zone

Where/When: Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm Street, Concord. Sunday, May 27 at 9 a.m.

Why Go?: A look at a nurses journey through the Dominican Republic and helping the poor and needy.

Price: Free!

5. Memorial Day Celebrations

Where/When: There are two distinct celebrations on Monday, May 28. Rideout Field at 9 a.m. and Ash Street at noon.

Why Go?: Celebrate those that gave their lives to defend the United States. Parades throughout downtown and various recreational events.

Price: Free!
