1. Dabblers' First Anniversary Celebration 

When/Where: Saturday, Jan. 14 - Monday, Jan. 16, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., at Dabblers Hobbies and Cafe.
Why Go: Celebrate the shop's first anniversary with demonstrations, contests and samples from the cafe.

2. Open House: Get in Shape For Women

When/Where: Saturday, Jan. 14, 1 p.m. at Get in Shape For Women on Main Street.
Why Go: Meet staff, check out the facility, and learn about the programs offered.
Pricing: Free to visit, service prices vary.

3. Waltz Night at 51 Walden

When/Where: Saturday, Jan. 14, 8 p.m., at the Friends of The Performing Arts in Concord.
Why Go: Enjoy an evening of elegant dancing at this community waltz event.
Pricing: $45

4. Trinity Forum With Local Author Tracy Winn

When/Where: Sunday, Jan. 15, 9 a.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church
Why Go: Hear author Tracy Winn discuss the story behind her book "Mrs. Somebody Somebody."
Pricing: Free

5. Animal Party/Kids' Peace and Dreams

When/Where: Saturday, Jan. 14 at Barefoot Books on Thoreau Street.
Why Go: Let your inner animal out by dressing up in costume and coming to the animal party in the morning. In the afternoon, kids can understand the real meaning of Martin Luther King Jr. Day by listening to inspirational stories from around the globe.
