Staying in town this weekend? Here are some tips on great events happening right here in Concord.

 

 

It's Thursday, and we're heading into the first non-holiday weekend we've had in a while. Here are a few ideas on great activities and events happening this weekend.

1. Learn Conversational Italian With Sabrina

When/Where: Meet for 10 consecutive Fridays, Jan. 6 through March 9, at Serafina Ristorante, 11:45 a.m.
Why Go: Intermediate students can enjoy two hour conversational lessons and lunch with a native speaker from Verona. Click here to register.

2. Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sale

When/Where: Saturday, Jan. 7, Dunkin' Donuts on Thoreau Street, 8-11 a.m.
Why Go: Pick up a box of your favorite cookies and help support your local Girl Scout troop.
Pricing: Free to stop by, prices of cookies may vary

3. Concord Youth Theatre's 10th Annual Cabaret, "On a Clear Day"

When/Where: Saturday, Jan. 7, 7:30 p.m. at the Friends of the Performing Arts on Walden Street.
Why Go: See Concord's young talent singing, dancing, and of course, making your laugh.
Pricing: $20

4. Verrill Farm Winter Pancake Breakfast

When/Where: Verrill Farm on Wheeler Road, Saturday, Jan. 7, 9 a.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a tasty breakfast with neighbors.
Pricing: $7

5. Learn to Skate

When/Where: Sunday, Jan. 8, Middlesex School, 11:40 a.m.
Why Go: US Figure Skating basic skills classes for all ages and skill levels begin this weekend. Classes are eight weeks.
Pricing: $120 for the program
