    When/Where: Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24 starting at 9 a.m. Old Calf Pastures on 240 Lowell Street, Concord.

    Why Go?: 11th Annual Riverfest will feature 11 towns coming together to celebrate. Music, food, bird watching, poetry, canoe trips, fishing, wild turtle display and more.

    When/Where: Saturday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Barefoot Books on 89 Thoreau St., Concord.

    Why Go?: Magician David Hall hosts a special kid-centric magic show including mind-reading and children's favorite, Hocus the Bunny.

    Price: $7/person.

    When/Where: Saturday, June 23 at 8:30 p.m. at Main Street Market and Cafe on 50 Main St., Concord.

    Why Go?: An awesome R&B band that will be playing some of the best blues and soul music in the area.

    When/Where: Sunday, June 24 at 3 p.m. at The Concord Bookshop on 65 Main Street.

    Why Go?: Author and Harvard fellow James Geary presents his thoughts concerning the "secret life of metaphor" and how it shapes our world focusing on jobs, love, war and other topics.

    When/Where: Saturday, June 23 at 9 p.m. at Tailgaters on 166 Great Rd., Acton.

    Why Go?: Test out those pipes with this weekly karaoke get-together. Free parking, no cover charge.
