5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 10

An "Amateurs" production and a screening of "Shall We Dance?" are in Concord tonight.

1. The mild weather continues today with a high of 49 degrees under mostly sunny skies. However, tonight is expected to resemble winter a bit more with projected snow showers late in the evening. The overnight low will be around 30 degrees.

2. If you’re in the mood for a film tonight, the Concord Public Library is screening the 1996 Japanese movie Shall We Dance? Rated PG, the movie follows an accountant who begins taking ballroom lessons. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

4. Looking to learn how to get started with beading? Look no further than Life’s A Bead on Trapelo Road in Belmont. They'll offer a free class today at 11:30 a.m.

5. Now a featured player in Hollywood comedies, Mike Tyson was once known as the “Baddest Man on Planet” for his domination inside of a boxing ring. But on this day in 1992, the former heavyweight champion was convicted of raping an 18-year-old beauty contestant in Indiana. Tyson was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
