This exquisite English colonial circa 1702 was built for a descendant of Thomas Fox, one of the original founders of Concord. This Fox Family Home holds many vintage and antique features, but perhaps one of its greatest historical gifts are its bragging rights for possessing one of the oldest chimney stacks in the country. Other fine characteristic traits of this fantastic property include rare 310 year-old King Pine floors, hand-cut posts and beams and four fabulous brick fireplaces.

While keeping the spirit of the home intact, the current owner has carefully improved the property to the finest standards following LEED guidelines by installing a new custom milled staircase using reclaimed wood, installed a tankless hot water heater, painted the interior and exterior and installed energy efficient lighting throughout. A new roof and gutters, low-maintenance landscaping, new Jeld-Wen doors and an electric car-charging station in the garage are also improvements currently in progress.

A slim, winding walking endorses a graceful entrance into the almost 3,000 square foot home which initially presents as a modest colonial, but once inside stretches throughout the one acre+ property.

The stunning elongated 35 foot chef's kitchen/family room has been graciously designed and decorated to maintain its standing as the most popular space in the house. Beautiful pine flooring begins in the prep area of the space and stretches to the end of the room. The next section is a comfortable leisure nook with a mounted flat screen tv above a fireplace set in an extended wall of red brick. The end of the room is currently a children's play area but could also be utilized as an extension of the leisure space or for use as a home office. Both the 17 x 13 square foot living and dining rooms are warm, inviting areas with whispers of the home's rich legacy in the natural exposed ceiling beams and oversized brick fireplaces.

The second level boasts four generously-sized bedrooms, including a charming 18 x 13 square foot master suite equipped with a fireplace, walk-in closet and full private bath. The three family bedrooms are 18 x 13, 13 x 12 and 12 x 12 square feet and provide an impressive amount of closet space, especially for a home of this era. There is also a unique suite above the garage with three rooms, two with sun-drenching skylights, at 15 x 11, 12 x 11 and 12 x 12 square feet and a full bath.

The fenced-in backyard of this home reflects the cozy, relaxed nature of the home with a charming patio nestled between the home and barn-like garage that opens into a private, lush landscape.

This private home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with the added advantage as a member of the Fox Farm Association and within minutes of Minute Man National Park, Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge and Concord Center; just a few more examples of the many diverse benefits of this property. The list simply goes on and on.
