Family Recovering After Sat. Accident

Police have not yet released the exact accident cause.

The victims in Saturday’s pedestrian accident are on the road to recovery, according to a report from My Fox Boston.

Four people were hospitalized Saturday when a driver who was reportedly on her way to a dialysis appointment on Wintrhop St. struck a Concord mom and her two children.

All four people involved in the accident were initially transported to nearby Emerson Hospital. A younger boy, police said, was later life-flighted to Children's Hospital in Boston.

Concord Police have identified the mother struck in the accident as 39-year-old Laura Labriola of Concord. The children involved are six years old and 20 months old, respectively.

My Fox Boston reports that Labriola and the six year old have been released from Emerson Hospital. Calls to Children’s Hospital, where the 20 month old was treated, were not immediately returned.

The driver in the crash, a 76-year-old Westford woman, was treated with non-life threatening injuries at Emerson Hospital

The My Fox Boston article reports that the driver in the crash might have mistakenly pushed down on the gas pedal when she meant to brake. However, Concord Police officials have told Patch that the investigation is still pending and that no official cause has yet been determined.
