Is there some reason why the information on this accident is not being released? Seems odd that several days after the accident there is not so much as a name.

Mitch, Carol and Jane, Thanks for reading and commenting.

I've been off for most of the weekend, but just spoke with CPD. There is no new information that is being released at this time, but I will continue to follow up with both local police and other agencies involved. I don't believe authorities have released the identity of the woman, but the MBTA has said she is believed to be about between 18 and 22 years of age.

Thanks Patrick for the update. Guessing police don't know the identity of the woman themselves, at this point.

From what I have heard....it is a very sad story so I can understand the protectiveness of the police in not releasing any information at this point. May you rest in peace.
