Why Free Play Is Crucial for Children and How You Can Make it Happen: At 7 p.m. tonight, Concord Children's Center is hosting a free talk for parents of children ages 3 to 12 years in which author-educators Peter Gray and Mike Lanza will explain why children need free play and how to make it happen. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the White Pond Advisory Committee at 9 a.m., the CCHS Site-Based Subcommittee at 2:30 p.m., the CCHS Building Committee at 6 p.m., the Public Ceremonies & Celebrations at 6 p.m. and the Natural Resources Commission at 7 p.m.
