Five Things: Cookbook Book Signing & Tasting at Farfalle

Book Club Cookbook Book Signing & Tasting: At 7 p.m. tonight, Farfalle and The Concord Bookshop present Food for Thought, an evening of conversation, food and wine with Judy Gelman and Vicki Krupp, the authors of The Book Club Cookbook. They'll be at Farfalle to discuss their "cookbook," which features recipes in the theme of some of the best loved titles of book groups around the country, including "The Grapes of Wrath," "The Secret Life of Bees," "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and more. The food's free, but wine tasting costs $20.
2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include a Historic Districts Commission site visit at 8 a.m., the Minuteman HS School Council at 4:30 p.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m., the 2229 Main St. Committee at 7:30 p.m. and the Recreation Commission at 7:30 p.m.
3. Bridge at Harvey Wheeler: There's rubber bridge at 1 p.m. this afternoon at the Harvey Wheelery Community Center in West Concord.
