Five Things: Family Trees, the BOS Visits the Landfill Site and Rumors

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know today in Concord.

 

1. Family Trees: Now in its 17th year, Family Trees, an exibit that celebrates childrens literature at the Concord Museum, is open and runs through Jan. 1.

2. Selectmen to Visit Landfill Site: At 7:30 a.m. this morning, the Board of Selectmen will take a site visit to the landfill site at Walden Street and Route 2, where there's talk of siting school transportation.

3. Other Public Meetings: According to the town website, other public meetings posted for today include the Local Option Local Income Tax Committee at 8 a.m. and the CASE Collaborative Board of Directors at 12:30 p.m.

4. Rumors Opens Tonight at CCHS: DirectorJohnny Woodnal and a cast and crew are made up of talented and committed CCHS students presnet "Rumors," Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy in which the Deputy Mayor of New York is hosting an opulent party for his 10th wedding anniversary, but it appears he has shot himself – or has he? The opening performance is at 7 p.m. tonight.

5. Sunny Day and a Snowy Night? Should be mostly sunny today with a high near 35, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a chance of snow showers late overnight and a low around 32.
