Five Things You Need to Know: July 9
Nature workshops at Dabblers, two events at Barefoot Books, an Al-Anon/Alateen meeting and the usual Monday Night Contra Dance.
Today's Weather: Should be a sunny monday with highs of 85. Patchy fog coming in at night as temperatures drop to drastically to 56 according to the National Weather Service.
1. Dabblers' Summer Workshops are shifting gear this week and focusing on nature. Today's activities are Snakes! from 10:30 - 11 a.m. and Build and Paint a Birdhouse from 1 - 2:30 p.m.
2. Barefoot Books also has some events going on today. There will be Storytime at 10:30 a.m. followed by painting with Miss Ellie at 11 a.m.
3. There will be an Al-Anon/Alateen Family Group meeting tonight at the West Concord Union Church on 1317 Main St. at 1 p.m. "You have choices. Al-Anon Family Groups can help!"
4. Monday's are for dancers. There will be the usual Monday Night Contra Dance tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Scout House on 74 Walden St. No partner needed.
5. Today in History: Zachary Taylor, the 12th president of the United States, died after only 16 months in office.
