Five Things You Need to Know: June 19

Story time at Barefoot Books, career night, "yoga for the mind" at Dabblers and a free family support group at Emerson Hospital.

 

 

Today's Weather: Should be mostly sunny today with highs of 79. Patchy fog moves in at night as temperatures drop to 64 according to the National Weather Service.

1. Barefoot Books will be hosting Act it Out! Story Time today at 10:30 a.m. A free, all ages get-together aimed at building vocab and other early literary/social skills.

2. Keller Williams Boston North Real Estate Company will be hosting a career night seminar with host Steve Zippin. Real Estate Career Night takes place at 5 p.m. at Inboxer offices on 200 Baker Avenue.

3. Dabblers will be hosting a special free-thinking night tonight with a look at Zentangle 101 - "yoga for the mind." This event starts at 5 p.m. at Dabbler's on 119 Commonwealth Ave.

4. There will be a free family support group at Emerson Hospital tonight at 7 p.m. entitled: Post-Adoption Support Group: "We Are Family." The group examines normal, questioning thoughts that come from adopted children ages 5+.

5. This Day in History: It was on this day in 1964 that the Civil Rights Act was established setting a new standard for equality measures in America.
