Grant Thornton Admits Concord Native as Business Executive

Scott Robb is one of two people names business development executives.

 

The following was submitted to Concord Patch.

Grant Thornton LLP, the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, admitted John Granger and Concord native Scott Robb as business development executives in the firm’s New England Cluster.

One of Granger’s responsibilities includes the acquisition of new client relationships and new business revenue. Robb will continue to serve his areas of industry expertise, including consumer products, retail and manufacturing sectors as well as the hospitality sector.

 “John and Scott bring a wealth of business development experience as well as strong relationships with some of the leading companies in the New England marketplace to the firm,” said Scott Levy, Grant Thornton’s New England managing partner. “We are pleased to welcome them on board, and look forward to their fresh perspectives and future contributions.”

Scott Robb has over 28 years of direct and indirect sales experience and more than 16 years of business development experience with professional service firms. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Robb held several business development positions for 14 years with a Big Four accounting and consulting firm. In his tenure, he has successfully served companies ranging from venture capital backed to global Fortune 100 conglomerates in various industries throughout the New England region. In addition, Robb has worked as director of sales for boutique consulting firms, specializing in customer relationship management, systems integration and software engineering.

As former trustee, Robb is heavily involved at the Fenn School. He works with the alumni council and board of visitors, and also supports the alumni association at Lake Forest College. Robb is also an active coach in Acton Boxborough youth sports. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts from Lake Forest College. A native of Concord, Mass., he currently resides in Acton.
