It's Like a Cheat Sheet for Concord’s Annual Town Meeting

Miss the pre-Town Meeting public hearings? Fear not, you can check out the slides online.

In the leadup to annual Town Meeting, there’s always a lot to take in. The good news is, slide show presentations for many of the warrant articles, as presented at the recent Town Meeting hearings, are available for review online.

There are 63 items on the warrant for Concord’s 2013 annual Town Meeting, and more than 40 of them have public hearing presentations posted online.

The hearings were held in late February and early March, and annual Town Meeting isn’t scheduled to get started until April 22 at Concord-Carlisle High School. So it’s true that some of the specifics could change between now and then, but generally the presentations are a generally a pretty good introduction and overview.

Says the town website: “While the information published in the hearing presentations may change prior to presentation at Town Meeting, it can be a good opportunity to get a first look at each article’s content and intent.”

Look for more coverage of warrant articles and the ideas behind them in the coming weeks on Patch.

As petitioner for Article 15, I would like to encourage folks to watch my presentation at the February 27 FINCOM Hearing, video-on-demand at CCTV. I hope to provide visual material soon, but in the meanwhile I welcome any questions. Valerie Tratnyek
