LETTER: Sullivans Support Snook for School Committee

Captain Miles Lane residents say Snook's 'unique ability to bring people with different opinions and viewpoints together toward a common goal is a skill that will be of great value as a School Committee member.'

To the Editor,

We are writing to support Kathi Snook’s candidacy for the Concord School Committee. Once in a while you get lucky. That is how we feel about Kathi’s willingness to step up and perform this important service for our community.

When we first met Kathi 20 years ago, she was raising four children, tying up hockey skates, helping coach T-ball and scoring Little League baseball games, while at the same time pursuing her doctoral degree. Little did we know she was also an Army Lieutenant Colonel. Over the years we learned more about her extraordinary military accomplishments and contributions to education.

Since returning to Concord 10 years ago, Kathi’s focus has been family. She has organized, led and served on numerous committees in support of the church, school and sports programs of her five children. Considering most of her children were high school three-sport athletes, that’s a lot of ticket selling, fundraising, team dinner hosting and banquet organizing, and many miles on the mini-van as she rarely missed a game. Her five children are a testament to her well-rounded approach to raising a great family – a healthy balance of academics, athletics and community activities.

Kathi’s unique ability to bring people with different opinions and viewpoints together toward a common goal is a skill that will be of great value as a School Committee member. Her open and even approach will make sure all points of view are considered. We have faith from knowing her for twenty years that Kathi will make the best choices for our community.
