Races

LOCAL:

Middlesex Clerk of Courts - Democrat Michael Sullivan of Cambridge faces no challenger.
Middlesex Sheriff - Acting Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, a Democrat from Waltham faces no challenger.
Register of Deeds, Middlesex Southern District - Democrat Maria Curtatone of Somerville faces no challenger.

STATE:

State Representative, 14th Middlesex: Incumbent Cory Atkins, a Concord Democrat, is facing a challenge from Mike Benn, a Concord Republican.
State Senate, Third Middlesex - Lexington Democrat Mike Barrett and Chelmsford Republican Sandi Martinez are facing off in the general election after outlastings several other candidates for the right to fill the seat retiring state Sen. Susan Fargo, D-Lincoln, is leaving behind after eight terms.
Governor's Council, Third District - Incumbent Marilyn Petitto Devaney, a Watertown Democrat, faces a challenge from independent candidate Thomas Sheff of Newton.

NATIONAL:

U.S. Congress, Third District - Incumbent Niki Tsongas, a Lowell Democrat, faces Republican Jon Golnik of Carlisle.
U.S. Senate - Incumbent Scott Brown, a Republican, faces Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren.
U.S. President - Incumbent Barack Obama, a Democrat, faces Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, a Lexington resident.
