Lishansky Awarded First Alumni Scholarship

The first Concord High School/Concord-Carlisle High School Alumni Scholarship was handed out.

The following information was submitted to Concord Patch.

The first Concord High School/Concord-Carlisle High School Alumni Scholarship was awarded this spring to David Lishansky, CCHS Class of 2011, to help with his college expenses  at Northeastern University.  An active musician and writer during high school, David entered NU this fall as a freshman in the Music Industry Program.

Initial gifts from the CCHS Class of 2005 and the CHS Class of 1954 established the CHS/CCHS Alumni Scholarship Fund through the Concord Carlisle Scholarship Fund (CCSF).  This Scholarship is a way for alumni of CCHS and CHS, the predecessor high school to CCHS, to honor their school and classes through their contributions.  The Scholarship was kicked off with a lump sum contribution from the Class of 2005 treasury and a memorial gift from the Class of 1954 in memory of classmate John McGrath.  Class of '54 Officer Jack Mattison said, "We are proud to help establish this scholarship that will help current and future generations of CCHS alumni continue on their paths to have successful and productive lives."
