Foundation for MetroWest connects philanthropic opportunity with demonstrated need in MetroWest. We promote philanthropy in the region, help donors maximize the impact of their local giving, serve as a resource for local nonprofit organizations, and enhance the quality of life for all of our citizens. It’s about making lives better. It’s about making giving easier. It’s about MetroWest.

Youth in Philanthropy is a hands-on program that teaches high school youth the fundamentals of grant making, giving back to the community, and the nonprofit world. Program participants work together as a board with the opportunity to review grant applications, conduct site tours and interviews, collaborate to raise funds, and make final recommendations on how grant funding will be distributed throughout the community. Application materials can be found online at www.FoundationforMetroWest.org or by contacting the Youth in Philanthropy program advisor at Concord Carlisle High School, Kevin Pennucci, at kpennucci@colonial.net. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012.
