Police Log: A Ladder to the Roof, a Sleeping Motirist and an OUI Arrest

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Saturday, Feb. 16

1:45 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a ladder to the roof of the Papa Razzi restaurant on Elm Street. The roof was accessible, but there was nothing suspicious found, the officer said.

3:08 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a man sleeping inside a running motor vehicle in the parking lot outside 7-Eleven in West Concord. The responding officer reported the man checked OK.

9:24 a.m. – A cell phone caller reported a loose Golden Retriever on Williams Road. The dog officer was notified to follow-up, the incident report said.

10:03 a.m. – A parking complaint came in from Shadyside Avenue reporting bird-watchers were parking on the street. The responding officer found 10 to 15 cars in the area, all of them there looking for a rare bird.

2:33 p.m. – MCI Concord requested assistance with an unruly woman causing a disturbance in the main lobby and refusing to leave. The responding officers reported the issue was resolved after the woman’s sister showed up to give her a ride.

10:13 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an erratic motor vehicle on Route 2 west, past Walden Street. The vehicle pulled into Newbury Court, where the driver is a resident.

Sunday, Feb. 17

12:41 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a motor vehicle parked by First Parish on Lexington Road. The driver was parked and waiting to pick p his wife from work.

2:05 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Concord Turnpike at the Lincoln line, Shannon M. Okarma, 28, of 70 Cotting St., Medford, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, failing to dim her headlights and marked lanes violation.

7:35 a.m. – A 911 caller reported being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Wedgewood Commons. Police assisted with the paper exchange.

5:36 p.m. – Police responded to reports of cars off the roadway on Sudbury Road in Sudbury. A CPD car was dispatched to confirm they were not in Concord.

6:50 p.m. – A caller reported a downed tree across Monument Farm Road, blocking access. The road is a private way, but the DPW responded and moved the tree for public safety reasons, the incident report said.

9:10 p.m. – A Nathan Pratt Drive resident called in a noise complaint about loud music being played below his apartment. His downstairs neighbor was advised to turn down the music.
