Police Log: A Lot of Accidents Last Monday and Tuesday
The following was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, July 30
7:56 a.m. – Multiple 911 callers reported a two-car accident in the area of Lowell and Barrett’s Mill roads.
8:51 a.m. – A 911 caller reported a two-car accident with no injuries on Stow Street.
8:57 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of a loose dog in the roadway on Rt. 62, and that motorists were trying to catch the dog without success.
10:03 a.m. – A Channing Road resident reported a plumbing truck blocking was blocking his driveway.
11:29 a.m. – A Heath’s Bridge Road resident reported being alerted by her credit card company that someone tried to fraudulently make a purchase in her name online.
4:19 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Lexington Road and Heywood Street.
10:24 p.m. – A passing motorist reported a deer struck by a motor vehicle was lying in the roadway on Main Street in West Concord.
10:32 p.m. – A 911 call came in from Everett Street reporting someone just set off fireworks in the area.
11:27 p.m. – Police received multiple reports of a tree down blocking the roadway on Lowell Road.
Tuesday, July 31
3:24 a.m. – An officer radioed in that he was checking on a vehicle observed exiting the rear of a building on Baker Avenue. the motorist was reportedly using a remote controlled airplane in the area.
9:27 a.m. – A caller reported two people on Route 2, near Crosby’s Corner, were attempting to collect copper piping that had fallen from a truck. An officer was dispatched, but reported State Police were already on the scene.
11:06 a.m. – A 911 caller reported an erratic operator on Route 2 west, just leaving the rotary after almost hitting the guard rail a couple of times.
12:07 p.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a two-car accident in the Route 2 rotary.
4:32 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Route 2A, near the Concord Municipal Light Plant.
6:28 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a small deer killed on Lowell Road by the Middlesex School.
7:24 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident at Bedford Farms on Thoreau Street.
