Police Log: A Suspicious Person and a Railroad Crossing Scare
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Nov. 19
7:03 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a white woman in her 30s, with dirty blonde hair seen running from the rear of a Ministerial Drive residence and leaving the area in a Mini Cooper parked in a driveway on Harrington Avenue. An officer reported the residence checked OK.
8:30 a.m. – A Center Village Drive resident reported a tree truck parked at the corner of Main Street and Center Village was impeding traffic. The responding officer reported the truck had backed into a driveway and was not affecting traffic.
9:32 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Laws Brook and Wright roads, A Marlboro woman received a summons for speeding, failure to obey signs, signals or markings and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
11:25 a.m. – A Nathan Pratt Drive resident reported her Border Collie mix just ran off.
12:31 p.m. – Police responded to a reported minor motor vehicle collision involving a postal truck in the area of Main and Thoreau streets.
6:18 p.m. – A Concord man reported losing a key ring with about a dozen keys on it somewhere in West Concord earlier in the day.
7:20 p.m. – A 911 caller on Fitchburg Turnpike reported a white sedan was driving slowly and erratically toward Lincoln. LPD reportedly stopped the vehicle and confirmed the driver was unimpaired.
8:37 p.m. – A Thoreau Street resident reported that, at noontime that day, she pulled up to the railroad crossing on Conant Street and crossed when the gates raised, but looked to the side and saw the train approaching as she sped across the tracks.
