Police Log: Accidents, Potholes and Motor Vehicle Violations

Tuesday, March 12
3:44 a.m. – A Rollingwood Lane resident called 911 to report he believed there was someone inside his home, on the first floor after his wife heard a crash and some other noises. The responding officer reported the residence checked OK.
9:31 a.m. – An anonymous caller reported an erratic driver speeding and tailgating on Route 2 west prior to Crosby’s Corner and onto Cambridge Turnpike.
12:25 p.m. – A Pilgrim Road resident requested to speak with the dog officer over a problem with a neighbor’s dog.
2:23 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident on Barretts Mill Road, an Acton man was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.
2:57 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident involving a CASE Collaborative vehicle being rear-ended on Elm Street by Main. As a result, a Bedford man was cited for failure to use care when starting.
5:47 p.m. – An Estabrook Road resident reported a window at her home was broken while she was away. The woman said it did not appear as though anyone attempted to enter her residence, and the responding officer reported it appeared the damage was done by an animal.
10:33 p.m. – Police responded to a report of large potholes causing flat tires on Route 2 east near Crosby’s Corner. According to the incident report, MassHighway had already coned-off the potholes.
10:35 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Walden Street, a Stow man was cited for operating with his license suspended and operating with a suspended/revoked registration.
