Police Log: Alleged Vandalism Via Yoo-Hoo
The following was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Sept. 22
12:52 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a motor vehicle parked at Nashawtuc Country Club on Sudbury Road. The vehicle’s operator was reportedly searching the area for a lost dog.
6 a.m. – Millennium Alarm called in to report a commercial alarm activation at Concord Convenience at Lowell Road. The cause was determined to be accidental by an employee who was opening up with a key but no pass code.
7:24 a.m. – Police responded to a call from Thoreau Street reporting a Salem woman’s white Mini Cooper was struck with a Yoo-hoo bottle, which smashed and discolored the trim on the vehicle.
7:28 a.m. – A Concord man walked into the station to turn in a purse found in the vicinity o Emerson Umbrella, which contained miscellaneous items including a Stoneham High School class schedule. Police contacted a parent through an Internet search, and he planned to recover the property.
9:17 a.m. – A Lowell Road resident reported a past breaking-and-entering in which his lower-level door was kicked in. However, the man reported nothing appeared to be missing or disturbed. The responding officer reported the incident occurred sometime in the past three months.
2:16 p.m. – A Lowell Road resident called 911 to report having issues with her neighbor two months prior to the call.
4:55 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Elm Street, a Braintree man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked registration and uninsured motor vehicle.
6:19 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop, a Boston man was summonsed or operating after his registration was revoked and uninsured motor vehicle.
8:05 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle on Sudbury Road by Route 2. The responding officer reported the vehicle was off the roadway and was not a hazard.
9:28 p.m. – Multiple 911 calls reported possible fireworks in the area of Elm Street/Park Lane/Coburn Hill Road. The responding officer reported there was a gathering on Park Lane, but no fireworks while he was in the area.
