Police Log: A Backup at Starbucks, a Road-Raging Bus
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Feb. 7
2:50 a.m. – Lexington Alarm reported a school alarm activation at Nashoba Brooks School’s auditorium on Strawberry Hill Road. The premises checked secure, the incident report said.
9:52 a.m. – A Nashawtuc Road resident called to voice concerns about traffic backing up into the intersection near Sudbury Road and Thoreau Street, where the Starbucks parking lot was overflowing to cause the backup. Police responded to the scene and issued one citation.
11:44 a.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident in a parking lot on Baker Avenue Extension.
11:59 a.m. – A Concord man reported is wife’s black purse was lost somewhere between Blue Jay Drive and the Acton line.
12:05 p.m. – A Carlisle man reported that, while one his way home from the train station, he was tailgated by a LRTA Roadrunner bus along Lowell Road.
1:16 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported minor motor vehicle accident in the area of Lexington Road. A citation was issued to a Sudbury woman for failure to use care.
1:41 p.m. – A man came into the station with a wallet he found on Sudbury Road.
2:38 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Old Marlboro Road. A Concord man was cited for failure to use care in backing.
3:04 p.m. – A Edgewood Road resident reported two ladders were taken from outside his garage sometime over the past week.
7:48 p.m. – American Alarm reported a side door alarm on Deacon Haynes Road. The responding officer reported the exterior checked secure, but the audible alarm was sounding inside.
10:17 p.m. – An Acton Police detective reported an erratic operator on Route 2 east heading toward the Concord Rotary, weaving in the roadway and almost striking other vehicles. An officer pulled over the vehicle on Route 2, past Main Street, and reported the driver checked OK; he was distracted by a dog inside the vehicle.
