Police Log: Barking Dogs and Illegal Dumping
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Aug. 23
12:10 a.m. – A Harrington Avenue resident called in to complain about a barking dog next door. The caller did not know the specific address, and the responding officer reported all was quite during a check of the area.
1:20 a.m. – A 911 caller reported an unfamiliar black vehicle was parked outside her Derby Street residence for he past 30 minutes. The vehicle’s occupant turned out to be visiting a resident on the street.
7:49 a.m. – Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner near Wolf Pine Way. Responders shut down ORNAC and, after clearing with a patient refusal, an ambulance headed up to Emerson Field to check on the son of a driver, who was also involved in the accident.
10:07 a.m. – A contractor on Old Marlboro Road reported a delivery truck became disabled in the roadway there, and he was concerned about a possible traffic hazard.
11:07 a.m. – A caller reported a white pickup truck dumped a white trash bag in their dumpster on Sudbury Road. Police spoke with the manager of the development company that owned the vehicle, and advised him of the complaint and not to use that dumpster anymore.
4:19 p.m. – Police responded to a reported minor motor vehicle collision in the Thoreau Street Depot parking lot.
4:57 p.m. – Concord Fire radioed in to report standing by with a disabled motor vehicle blocking a lane at Main and Wood streets. The vehicle was pushed off the roadway and the owner planned to standby awaiting AAA.
8:52 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a person on the roof at the West Concord Plaza, who then entered a business on Main Street. The responding officer reported the person in question was a relative/employee of a business owner there, who was installing ceiling tiles when observed descending a ladder.
