Police Log: Gunshots, Goose Hunters and Surveys That Pay

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 17

 7:01 a.m. – A caller from the Hawthorne Inn on Lexington Road reported hearing five gunshots to the west. The caller was advised it was probably hunters and was satisfied with that response. A second caller reported hearing the same, and witnessed someone on an abutting farm shooting geese. That caller reportedly had complaints over hunting regulations, but did not want to speak with an officer and wished to remain anonymous.

12:06 p.m. – A Concord woman walked into the station to speak with an officer about checks for $900 and some letters with instructions she received from an online survey she did. 

4:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a minor collision involving a Concord Oil van by Rotary Circle and Commonwealth Avenue. State Police were advised and also responding.

 7:10 p.m. – Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a car and motorcycle in the area of Bedford Street and Old Bedford Road.
