Police Log: Rescue Dog Problems and an OUI Before 11 a.m.
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Jan. 26
4:14 a.m. – Emerson Hospital’s ER staff requested assistance with a belligerent patient who was out of control in the waiting area. The man, who had been dropped off there by the Westford Fire Department a little earlier, left the premises in a taxi, the incident report said.
8:49 a.m. – A Concord woman called requesting to speak with an officer regarding fraudulent online activity.
10:30 a.m. – Police responded to a reported past breaking-and-entering to a motor vehicle, which resulted in the theft of two DVD players from a minivan at Wedgewood Commons. Police determined the incident occurred during a spate of similar incidents in mid-January.
10:57 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Monument Street, by the Old Manse, Marlene J. Eccles, of 81 Fieldstone Drive, Londonderry NH, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and possession of a Class B substance.
1:15 p.m. – Police received a call reporting a deer was struck by a motor vehicle on Old Pickard Road. Someone from the “deer list” was notified and was to pick up the animal.
6:13 p.m. – A passing motorist called in a parking complaint reporting a gray van jutting into the roadway at the bend on Monument Street, near Balls Hill Road.
Sunday, Jan. 27
10:48 a.m. – An Elm Street resident requested to speak with a dog officer regarding issues she was having with two Rescue Dogs. The officer advised the woman to return the dogs to the shelter, the incident report said.
3:10 p.m. – A 911 hang-up call came in from Concord Healthcare on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. It was confirmed as accidental by a patient.
7:17 p.m. – A concord woman reported finding a Golden Doodle dog on Monument Street, near Fenn School. The dog was later returned to its owner, on Red Coat Lane.
