Police Log: Roadway Obstructions, Lost Wallets and Alarm Activations
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Sept. 7
12:30 a.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle on Main Street.
4:56 a.m. – Alarm Central reported a dining room alarm activation at the Old Manse on Monument Street. The responding officer reported the interior checked OK.
5:57 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation at Concord Country Club, which was reportedly set off accidentally by an employee.
10:03 a.m. – An Elsinore Street resident reported a “homeless” man pushing a shopping cart and going through his neighbors’ trash left out on the curb.
1:37 p.m. – A Bedford man came into the station to report locating a green canoe on the river across from the highway division on Keyes Road, which had been there for several days. The South Bridge Boat House called later to confirm it was their property.
3:05 p.m. – The Concord-Carlisle school transportation department called to complain about construction vehicles in the roadway on Stone Root Lane.
3:07 p.m. – Police responded to a complaint of a speeding sedan in the area of Old Bridge Road.
4:25 p.m. – An Old Mill Road resident reported losing his wallet downtown the previous afternoon.
6:09 p.m. – Passing motorists reported a tree branch down on the side of Sudbury Road near Heath’s Bridge Road. The responding officer reported the branch was blocking half of the roadway.
9:39 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Sudbury Road and Concord Turnpike, a Maynard woman was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.
