Police Log: School Bus Accident, Gas on the Go, Vandalized Mailbox

The Concord Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following incidents were documented in the Concord Police logs.


School Bus Accident
At 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, police received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Finigan Way involving a school bus that was transporting students at the time of the accident. No personal injuries were reported, but the bus sustained minor damage to a door hinge.

Gas on the Go
At 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to Colonial Motors, where a black sedan left a gas pump, pulling the nozzle from the pump, after the driver's credit card was declined. The vehicle could not be located. The gas pump was not damaged.

Vandalized Mailbox
Just after 3 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report from a Border Road resident stating her mailbox had been vandalized over the previous night.

Pedestrian Possibly Hit by Car
Police received a call just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, stating a boy on a bicycle was possibly struck by a passing vehicle on Main Street near Concord Academy. The reporting party told police the motorist stopped to help the boy up when he fell off his bike. Police responded to the area but could not locate anyone matching the description given by the reporting party.

Fraudulent Check
Just after 5 p.m. on Thursday, police initiated an investigation into a claim that a fraudulent check was issued in the name of a Main Street resident.
