Police Log: Skateboarders Dispersed from Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Aug. 27
8:44 a.m. – A Carlisle man came into the station with a set of keys he found in the area of Harrington Avenue and Ministerial Drive.
11:35 a.m. – A Sudbury Road resident reported that, within the past two months, his wife lost an inch-and-a-half-long strand of a bracelet with mutiple small diamonds on it. The man said the bracelet section was lost somewhere in the Greater Boston area.
12:58 p.m. – An Acton woman walked into the station and reported a silver four-door sedan struck her vehicle on Walden Street before speeding off.
5:44 p.m. – Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle accident in the area of Thoreau and Walden streets. There were no reported injuries, but one operator was cited for failure to use care, according to the police report.
10:07 p.m. – A caller reported a white husky in the roadway on Route 117, by Sudbury Road. The dog officer and dog owner both responded to the scene, and took possession of the dog, the police report said.
Tuesday, Aug. 28
7:29 a.m. – A passing motorist reported a possible disabled motor vehicle in the area of Lowell and Barretts Mill roads.
9:56 a.m. – Police responded to a Commonwealth Avenue barber shop, where the owner reported it appeared as though someone attempted to enter the building over the weekend. The responding officer reported the incident did not appear to be a malicious act, just some old wood that seems to have naturally split, the police report said.
12:39 p.m. – A Sudbury Road resident called 911 to report driving by his own house and observing a suspicious person walking in his driveway. The responding officer reported finding the person in question, who reportedly was going for a walk by the river and didn’t realize the driveway was private property.
2:29 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a sick fox on Bayberry Road, but were unable to locate the animal.
3:19 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a group of teenagers skateboarding in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and advised them to choose a different spot to skate.
7:33 p.m. – A caller reported a tree partially blocking the roadway on Lowell Road near the Middlesex School. The tree department was notified to respond to the scene.
