Police Log: Stop Signs Unseen and an Argument with an ATV Rider

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Thursday, Sept. 27

7:42 a.m. – A woman reported finding a backpack on a trail in Estabrook Woods, which she left on the “Old Road to Carlisle” inside the woods. The woman reportedly did not want to bring it into the station, and said she didn’t know if someone left it there accidentally or as trash being discarded.

8:18 a.m. – A 911 all came in from an elevator at Thoreau School, which staff confirmed as accidental.

11:17 a.m. – A Concord man called to report losing his gray, cloth wallet sometime the previous day, possibly at Colonial Spirits in Acton.

12:07 p.m. – A 911 call came in from the Peabody School, which a secretary advised was accidental by a student.

2:29 p.m. – A Barrett’s Mill Road resident reported witnessing a vehicle run the stop sight at Barrett’s Mill and Lowell roads earlier in the day.

6:56 p.m. – A Caterina Heights resident reported being involved in a verbal altercation with a man riding an ATV on the wooded trail off his street. Police spoke with both men involved, and advised them of “No Trespass” options.

10:27 p.m. – An Old Bedford Road resident called reporting the sensor on the front door activated, although she did not hear any other noises. Police responded to check the home, and it checked secure.
