Police Log: Suspicious Calls, Suspicious Cars and a Couple Accidents

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 2

9:23 a.m. – An accidental 911 call came in from Concord Health Care on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. A staffer confirmed the call was a misdial by a patient.

12:22 p.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a multiple-vehicle collision at Main Street and Baker Avenue. One of the drivers involved, a Shirley man, was cited for failure to use care.

12:55 p.m. – A Highway Department employee reported a truck was causing a hazard in the area of Main and Wood streets. The cause was a motor vehicle accident in which the driver, a Nashua man, struck the bridge; he was cited for failure to use care.

2:31 p.m. – Police responded to a request to check on a vehicle parked at the First Church of Christ parking lot on Lowell Road, which had been parked there for six days.

3:35 p.m. – A Dalton Road resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call.

6:30 p.m. – Police responded to a report of sparking power lines on Route 2 westbound, near Crosby’s Corner.
