Police Log: The One When a Dog Jumps Out of a Golf Cart

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Friday, Sept. 14

12:06 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated man on Adin Drive, saying he has no reason to live and that he wanted to go to Emerson Hospital. Firefighters also responded for a voluntary transport to Emerson.

6:34 a.m. – A 911 call came in from Deaconess Road. A call back reported no emergency at Newbury Court.

6:54 a.m. – A Martin Road resident reported construction workers beginning prior to 7 a.m. across the street from her home.

9:39 a.m. – A caller reported striking a turkey on Lexington Road, near Old Bedford Road.

10:56 a.m. – An accidental 911 call came in from Concord Park.

1:13 p.m. – A Stow woman turned in a gold bracelet with diamond inserts the said she found on Plainfield Road.

3:56 p.m. – Police responded to a report of larceny from an older resident on Laws Brook Road.

4:22 p.m. – A Concord woman reported an erratic operator, swerving and speeding in a light-colored sedan on Elm Street heading toward Main.

5:28 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street by Concord Academy.  One of the drivers, a Lexington woman, was cited for failure to use care in stopping.

6:54 p.m. – A Concord woman came into the station to report that, while caring for her daughter’s dog at Nashawtuc Country Club, the dog jumped out of her golf cart and ran away. 

6:58 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Lowell Road by Bow Street, A Somerville man was arrested on multiple charges. Philip John Higonnet, 51, of 169 Morrison Ave., Apt. 3, Somerville, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant from another department and subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended/revoked registration and uninsured motor vehicle.

7:36 p.m. – A Nathan Pratt Drive resident reported a restraining order violation from her ex-husband earlier in the night. James Alan Holbrook, Jr. 51, of 117 Randall Road, Bolton, was arrested and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.

8:34 p.m. – A Newbury Court resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call and email claiming she won some money.

10:25 p.m. – A Bow Street resident reported damage to his front grass.

11:54 p.m. – A Bedford Street resident reported a group of approximately 20 youths in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, making noises.
