POLL: Gas Prices Increase by 3 Cents Across State

Will the price per gallon of gasoline continue to climb? Let us know what you think in today's poll.

While riders on the MBTA are currently facing potential fare increase, drivers across the state are now dealing with even higher gas prices.

The price per gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline rose three cents during the past week, according to a Boston Herald report Monday

It's the third week in a row drivers have had to pay more for gas. The average current price per gallon for unleaded is $3.79, a rise of six cents from last month. The average price this time last year was $3.56.

The good news, however, is that the current price in Massachusetts is still 13 cents below the national average of $3.92, according to the Boston Herald.

But is the national average a sign of things to come for Massachusetts residents? What do you think? Let us know in today's poll and weigh in with comments below.
