Just under 20 percent of voters made it to the polls Tuesday and approved a single question: will the town pay $1.3 million for a feasibility study and schematic designs for Concord-Carlisle High School.
The vote was 1,809 in favor and 450 against with 19 percent of registered voters deciding; approximately 4 to 1.
The news came as the regional School Committee was sitting in session. Member Jerry Wedge interrupted the superintendent's evaluation with the news. Wedge got a text message from Town Clerk Anita Tekle at about 8:30 p.m. The polls closed at 8 p.m.
