On Friday, the town of Concord celebrated service men and women with a Veterans Day ceremony in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, hosted by the Concord Public Ceremonies and Celebrations Committee. The Veterans Day ceremony included a flag raising, selections from the Middlesex County 4-H Fife and Drum Corps, and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Girl Scout Caitlyn Lewis and Cub Scout Ben Clark.
Friday's exercises also featured buglers Nathaniel Bryant-Ridpath and Molly Callahan, vocalist Alexandra Granato, and a State House proclamation delivered by State Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord. The Concord Independent Battery fired a number of reports from its historic cannons in honor of Veterans Day and the Concord Fire Department assisted with the annual American flag retirement ceremony.
