Rounding up some of this weekends happenings in Bedford, Concord and Lexington.

 

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do this weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities you'll want to take part in this weekend.

1. Jazz Guitar Jubliee
Where/When: First Parish in Lexington Unitarian Universalist, 7 Harrington Road, Lexington; 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25
Why Go:  Because Lexington Community Education is presenting "Jazz Guitar Jubliee: An Evening featuring Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden and Jon Wheatley."
Pricing: $10

2. Concord Orchestra Young Artist Concert
Where/When: Concord Orchestra, 51 Walden St, Concord; 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25 and Saturday, Jan. 26
Why Go: The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, presents its annual young artist concert featuring cellist Zlatomir Fung, winner of the 2013 Ehlers Young Artist Competition, performing Variations on a Rococo Theme by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Pricing: $30

 

3. Halalisa Singers present "To Reach the Golden Door:Songs of the Immigration Experience"
Where/When: First Parish in Lexington Unitarian Universalist, 7 Harrington Road, Lexington; 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26
Why Go: The concert of songs from the refugees, strivers, dreamers, and huddled masses yearning to breathe free will close with a gospel swing arrangement of “America the Beautiful" and audience sing along.
Pricing: $18

4. Bay Colony Brass
Where/When: Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26
Why Go: Because it's the first Lexington appearance for the 14-member Bay Colony Brass. The all brass program, which runs approximately 90 minutes, features works by Verdi, Shostakovich, Wagner and Grainger.

5. Lexington Bicentennial Band Winter Concert
Where/When: Lexington High School, 251 Waltham St, Lexington; 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27
Why Go: The Lexington Bicentennial Band, under the direction of Jeffrey P. Leonard, will perform its annual winter concert and the program will include: The Viking March, Aquarium, Allegro-Ballad-Allegro, Suite Francaise, Vigils Keep, Black & White Rag, Hobbits and Keeping Step with the Union March.
Pricing: $10
