It's not clear if last week's early winter snow storm was a sign of things to come this winter in Concord, but one thing's for sure — regardless of the impending winter climate, there are still families in need in and around Concord.
To help, a number of local non profit groups do all they can to help those in need all year round. The winter, though, can be increasingly difficult as temperatures decrease. But there are things residents can do to lend hand.
This week, we're wondering which groups in town you support the most or look to help each year.

We volunteer each week and donate to the Acton Food Pantry. Recently relocated to a building on the Acton/Boxboro line on Summer Road, the pantry helps to feed an average of 198 household units each week. People's donations of peanut butter, proteins, soups, canned fruits and vegetables are always needed. These can be dropped off at Roche's, Stop and Shop or Donelan's and are gratefully appreciated.
