Cell Phones for Soldiers Collection Drive
Holy Family Parish Youth Ministry and the non-profit Cell Phones for Soldiers Inc. are asking Concord residents to help troops call home by donating gently-used cellular phones. Although the military landscape is ever changing, as many as 290,000 troops are serving in the U.S.
military overseas around the world. By donating to Cell Phones for Soldiers, we can provide troops with that precious connection to loved ones back home.
Beginning January 1st through January 31st, Concord
residents can donate their phones at the specially marked boxes at the entrances to Holy Family Parish Church in Monument Square or at the Holy Family Parish Offices at 55 Church Street in West Concord
More About Holy Family Parish
Led by Rev. Austin Fleming, this Roman Catholic Church has a youth group for both middle and high school students. On top of doing community service, the group also participates in other activities, such as paint ball.
The church offers religious education classes for children from kindergarten through high school. There is a vacation Bible school for children ages 5 to 11. High school and middle school students can join as counselors-in-training.
Holy Family also offers a Spiritual Life Committee that has programs on prayer, prayer services and devotional activities. Other groups include a women's scripture reading that meets weekly to deepen the understanding of the Bible and its application to daily life.
Mass is held on Saturdays at 5:30pm and again on Sundays at 7:30am, 9:30am and 11:30am.
