DESCRIPTION:The Concord Band is thrilled to welcome five outstanding youn
 g professional musicians from the Boston area to share the stage at thei
 r Winter Concert. The award-winning Triton Brass Quintet will be guest s
 oloists for an exciting and dynamic program\, led by Music Director Jame
 s O'Dell\, which will take place at 8 pm on March 3\, 2012 at the Perfor
 ming Arts Center at 51 Walden in Concord.\nThe quintet will perform Five
  Concord Diversions for Brass Quintet and Band by James Curnow\, commiss
 ioned by the Concord Band and premiered in 1987\, and the Concertino for
  Brass Quintet and Band by John Cheetham. In addition\, the quintet's An
 drew Sorg will be featured on flugelhorn in an arrangement of the Adagio
  movement from Joaquin Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez\, arranged by Con
 cord Band Music Director Emeritus William G. McManus. Also on the progra
 m are Go by Samuel Hazo\, Festivo by Edward Gregson\, and Florentiner Ma
 rch by Julius Fuč&iacute\;k.\nBased in Boston\, Massachusetts\, Triton 
 Brass is an exciting musical collaborative comprising five of the region
 's most promising young talents: Stephen Banzaert and Andrew Sorg\, trum
 pets\; Shelagh Abate\, French horn\; Wesley Hopper\, trombone\; and Jobe
 y Wilson\, tuba. Triton Brass were prize winners at the 2005 Lyon Intern
 ational Chamber Music Competition\, 2003 Fischoff International Chamber 
 Music Competition\, and semi-finalists at the Concert Artists Guild Comp
 etition. Triton members are in their second year as artists-in-residence
  at The Boston Conservatory\, where the group serves as both performers 
 and instructors\, and are proud to be faculty and co-hosts for the Atlan
 tic Brass Quintet International Seminar.\nOriginating from all corners o
 f the United States\, the members of the Triton Brass are now New Englan
 d area freelance musicians\, performing in a wide variety of settings in
  and around Boston. Triton gave its first public performance in 2001 and
  is proud of the fact that the same five individuals continue making mus
 ic together today.\nThe concert begins at 8:00 pm in The Performing Arts
  Center at 51 Walden Street in Concord on Saturday\, March 3\, 2012. Tic
 kets are $15 each ($5 for students and seniors) and are available at the
  door.\nThe Concord Band\, founded in 1959\, is one of the leading commu
 nity concert bands in the United States. It is well known for its innova
 tive programming and the exceptional quality of its commissioned pieces.
  It presents both formal and Pops concerts throughout the year. Thousand
 s attend its summer concerts each year at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard\,
  Massachusetts. &nbsp\;
