Join the irrepressible Miss Leigh as she leads children in creative, fun and entirely inspiring Eco-art projects that turn everyday objects into practical, fun treasures! At 2pm, children (ages 5-7) will make spaceships, shields and treasure boxes (one project each day!) from everyday objects made awesome. At 3:30pm, kids (ages 7-9) will transform the common into hot air balloons, journals, and their very own art caddies. Each project kicked-off by a related, inspiring Barefoot Book tale. Ages 5-9. $10/day ($25/week), materials included. Participants earn 40% off a related feature Barefoot book title. Pre-register; workshops require minimum of 5 children to run.

Barefoot Books is a passionate publishing company which aims to ignite children's imaginations, and encourage children to explore and respect the planet and other cultures. At their Concord location, across from the train depot, Barefoot Books has their newly opened flagship store and community center. Inside is a colorful and bright space, with a story-telling area, reading cubby, window benches and chairs, and a room for crafts, yoga and other community activities. On sale are beautiful, long-lasting books, CDs and gifts for children, carefully crafted by Barefoot Books. The company was founded in 1992 by two mothers, Tessa Strickland and Nancy Traversy, and operates worldwide in a global community.
