Does your child (age 7-10) have a great imagination? Want tips to transform those ideas into great fiction? Then don't miss these 2-day summer workshops. In a fun, creative setting, children learn the basic elements of solid creative writing (character, setting, plot and dialog), then select fun themed prompts to unleash their inner voice. This interactive workshop -- led by Barefoot staffer Helen Kampion, MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults -- will allow children to stretch their imagination and learn from one another's fiction writing. Writing journal provided to each participant. Workshop also offered the week of August 6. This is a precursor to our fall 2012 Creative Writing Club for kids. At their Concord location, across from the train depot, Barefoot Books has their newly opened flagship store and community center.
