More About West Concord Union Church
This Protestant congregation started over a century ago and recently became affiliated with the United Church of Christ. The UCC has over 5,500 self-governing parishes nationwide.
The congregation believes that Jesus was the son of God and leader of the church. There are two sacraments at the church: Baptism and Holy Communion. The church ordains both men and women as ministers.
There's a nursery below the church during Sunday ceremonies for children up to 3 years of age. After that children attend Sunday school until the sixth grade, where they move on to the parish's youth group.
The church also offers bible study every Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and again Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. There are adult education classes as well as a vacation bible school.
Led by Rev. Hannah Brown, this church meets every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. and communion is offered the first Sunday of each month. There is an elevator in the building, but the parish asks if you could please phone ahead to make sure it's available.
