Mark your calendars for the 11th annual RiverFest celebration. Over 30 fun, family-friendly events will take place on and along the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers – in 11 towns. Local organizations host events – and there will be something for everyone. The town of Concord will host a wide variety of activities on both Saturday and Sunday including bird watching, canoe trips, nature walks, a wild turtle display, crafts, boat tours, art, music, poetry, history, lectures, a fishing class for youngsters, and more. All events are free and open to the public. This is sure to be an exciting event. Riverfest is a celebration of the national Wild & Scenic designation of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers which flow through our communities. More About Old Calf Pasture
Located off Lowell Street just before the bridge over the Concord River, this park includes an open pasture, wooded riverside path and boat launch for the river.
Parking is prohibited in the driveway to the boat ramp, but the shoulder on Lowell Street is wide enough to park on. Fish in the Sudbury River may be contaminated with mercury, so fishing is prohibited.
