The Concord Players Open Their Winter Show Feb. 8

51 Walden St, Concord, MA | Get Directions »
$20.00

It’s winter, it’s cold, and all you want to do is curl up on the couch with a blanket and a hot toddy. Well, shake off those winter blues, put on a warm sweater, and get on over to 51 Walden Street, where The Concord Players are putting on a show!

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 is a wildly comedic romp that pokes fun at show business and the corny thrillers of old Hollywood. It isn’t a musical, but it IS a who-done-it comedy, perfect for breaking up your winter doldrums.

The story revolves around a snow-covered reunion of the cast of a recent Broadway flop with a murderer in its midst. It unfolds in the library of a Chappaqua, NY estate rife with secret passageways, sliding panels, and people who aren’t what they seem to be. The set alone will leave you baffled.

The show opens Friday, Feb. 8, with the Players’ standard opening night gala, replete with free food and drink, and runs Fridays and Saturdays through Feb. 23, with a matinee Feb. 17 at 2 pm.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased online with a credit card at www.concordplayers.org, or to pay with cash or check, email tickets@concordplayers.org and reserve your seats. For more information, go to www.concordplayers.org or call 978-369-2990.
