 eekly at 9 AM to hear speakers connect us to these topics: word\, worshi
 p\, wonder\, world\, and witness\, five important aspects of our Christi
 an life.On May 13 and 20 we discuss the words of two Old Testament proph
 ets under the direction of Jim Wood\, long-time Trinity parishioner.&nbs
 p\; Amos and Hosea are the two earliest Jewish prophets and two of the m
 ost relevant today.&nbsp\; Both warned that God knew how the weak were t
 reated by the powerful\, how the poor were treated by the rich\; and the
 y and their society would be judged. These are also some of the oldest o
 f Old Testament scripture\, but some of the most "advanced" in their the
 ology.&nbsp\; Our May 13 Forum will focus on the Book of Amos.Jim Wood i
 s a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Concord and past Junior Warden
 .&nbsp\; A graduate of Yale University\, he holds graduate degrees from 
 the State University of New York at Buffalo in American and English Hist
 ory.&nbsp\; After a career in software development and management\, he b
 ecame the Parish Administrator of the Church of the Advent in Boston in 
 1997.&nbsp\; He has been a serious\, and largely self-taught\, student o
 f the Bible for over twenty years.Trinity's invited Forum speakers come 
 from many walks of life and have addressed all manner of topics. Among o
 ur recent topics are pilgrimage\, faith lost and found\, histories and B
 iblical persons\, death\, dying and grieving\, parenting\, stewardship\,
  education\, and much more.
